COMSOC YPs co-sponsored an event with the Photonics Society YPs at the Optical Fiber Communications (OFC) conference in Anaheim, CA in March 2016.
The event started off with a networking reception followed by a few presentations. The first two presentations were brief overview of the Photonic Society and COMSOC YP activities and programs presented by the Society’s YP reps. The last presentation was an inspiring talk by Dr. Simon Poole titled “Confessions of a Serial Entrepreneur”.
There were over 100 attendees at the event. The event attracted many corporate sponsors such as Finisar, Optium, etc.
